來自四季如夏的熱帶島嶼新加坡， 紅頂雀是以一種生活在北極地帶的鳴禽所命名的樂團。

而最初是以龐克搖滾的模式來翻唱流行歌曲到後來漸漸地轉向詞曲創作。歌詞描述著人與人之間彼此難以表達的情感和期望以極生活在大都市裡所帶來的膈膜與距離感。曲風也大至偏向民謠搖滾和融入一些音素概念如龐克，复古，迷幻，另類。

成立於2006年，樂團這幾年參於了許多大大小小的演出如新加坡華藝節，新加坡華文獨立音樂季，Tapestry街頭演出以及香港Music Matters Live演出等等。

隨著不斷地探索著不同的音樂格式，我們希望能塑造出一個獻給平凡人的不平凡音樂世界。

The original Redpoll was formed in 2006, covering mandarin songs with punk-rock elements, in various local Chinese indie rock gigs.

Believing in carrying an identity and signature tone just like the Redpolls do, they started on a journey of originals song writing.

Over the years, their music has gone through a series of evolution and lineup revisions.

The now 4-piece band consists of four music enthusiasts, wanting to share the eclectic blend of folk/pop/rock sound, to the masses.

Breaking away from the lush multi-instrumental arrangement in the past, Redpoll’s current musical direction has moved onto a more effect driven, with complex rhythmic drumming and deconstructed arrangement form of sound.

While the self-penned abstract lyrics, are telling stories of the realities and complex emotions of city dwellers.
